Tuesday. Rumours of another lab. Somewhere up north. In Brisbane.
Here is everything I have been told, which is what anybody has been told: Brisbane, in the city centre, in the first half of this year. Not which street. Not which day. I asked. I was told “the first half of the year”, which is a period of time and not a date, and I have said so in a memo.
Here is everything I suspect, which is more interesting. Brisbane is warm. Gerald does not like warm. I am drafting a proposal for an air-conditioned chamber and an air-conditioned storeroom, in that order, or possibly the other order.
Until then, the labs are in Northbridge, on George Street in Sydney and on Collins Street in Melbourne. Queenslanders who cannot wait are welcome to fly south or west. I would. I would also pack a jumper for Melbourne.
Gerald has not been consulted. Gerald is never consulted. Gerald would only snarl at the map.
