Friday. A new lab, opened on Halloween, because somebody in planning has a sense of humour and it is not me.
Sydney. George Street, less than ten minutes on foot from Town Hall station. The door glows blue, which I approved, and the corridor smells of fresh paint, which I did not. Gerald’s chamber was installed this morning, tested at noon and snarled in by two. All within tolerance.
Sydney is the lab we could get a wheelchair into, and I have written that in my notes with a gold star. One wheelchair per session. A few of the stations sit awkwardly for somebody seated, so a teammate takes those, and the survivor in the chair does the thinking, which in my experience is the harder job anyway.
Half the city was in costume tonight. Our first teams arrived dressed as zombies, which was confusing for everybody, Gerald most of all. He spent ten minutes trying to work out whether they were colleagues.
Gerald in Perth, Gerald in Sydney. I have started labelling the kettles.
